Tyre measurements

The first step is the measurement phase where the tyre behaviour is tested which serves as input for an accurate tyre model. We offer services that can help to in this phase.

Tyre model creation

In the second phase the measurement data is converted to input parameters for the tyre model. The software tool called MF-Tool is used in this phase. MF-Tool also allows the user to study the effects of changing tyre conditions such as tyre inflation pressure, friction level, cornering stiffness, by the automatic scaling of tyre properties known from our experience in tyre testing.

Tyre simulation

In the last phase, the tyre model (MF-Tyre or MF-Swift) is applied in the final simulation environment. Based on Prof. Pacejka's famous Magic Formula for describing tyres, the Delft-Tyre models have proven to be the ideal solution for the automotive market where it comes to the assessment and modeling of tyre behaviour, starting with simple steady state F&M properties up to complex high frequency tyre dynamics. Using the Delft-Tyre products, the engineer has access to accurate and fast state-of-the-art tyre modeling tools, which do not require high level experience and knowledge about tyre-road behaviour.
